Mental

Lately I've been fascinated by psychoanalysis and have written a story based on a variety of mental disorders during one's journey through the unconscious mind, here are a couple of digital conceptual drawings based on it!

IM BACK

Sooooooooooo I've been gone for quite the while, forgot this existed, but I've been working hard lately and would like to showcase some highlights of the stuff I've made during my time off.

Illustration Friday: Robot

Here's a sneak peak on a little story project I'm working on.

These smiling mechanoid buddies are just wandering around a wartorn city, looking for any possible survivors.  Unfortunately they'd rather greet you with razor sharp claws rather than open arms.

...and because the theme is robots. Here's another for funsies!

Various Compositions

Here is a list of  some fun drawings I've worked on recently.  Apparently I like monsters!

"Madam"
This piece was inspired by the musical artist Igorrr, who has an incredibly chaotic style, and it attracted me to make this lovely lady.

"Murder the Ocean"
I love pirate ships, and giant cephalopods. However, I was never really good at drawing either, so I practiced hard and made this neat little number!

"Fee Fi Fo Fum"
This is pretty much just me fanning over the series Attack on Titan. Experimenting with textures, still need practice me thinks.

"Virus"
Just trying to give robots a creepy edge to them.

"Just a Click Away"
Probably one of my favourite pieces I've worked on. Heavily inspired by 80s cyberpunk movies and its lore.  Wanted to create a story through the picture, I think it turned out well.  Sure was fun to create

Mountains A Plenty!

Working alot on landscape compositions lately, and I must say, mountains are fun to learn with! These are all rather quick sketches, roughly an hour or less each, but fun to do no less!

Farewell

This piece is actually a commission piece I've worked on for a poetry novel illustration.  The idea of this picture came to me after reading the book and just draw what I felt from it.

more digi stuff

Hey there all!
I know I rarely post here, but time to change that. so here's a bunch of stuff I've been working on

Bramble Shamble

I decided to make something a little more cutesy, so I made a delightful baby-faced fellow :)

Now right under is basically what i had in my head, something weird, insect like and the baby mask is a must.  For some reason babies make any scary situation even spookier.

I decided to go with a more colourful palette, using purples, pinks and blues in the face and greens, yellows and blues in the body. Did ALOT of line work to accentuate the fur (or whatever it is supposed to be, I'm not even sure)

Add some shading, some lighting, and badabing badaboom!

Happenings

I realize it's been a LONG time since I've been on here, so it's high time I post a bunch more stuff.
Mainly been practicing my digital techniques recently as I always thought that needed the most work at the moment, so here we go.
This is a basic turnaround for my character Chum.

these two right here are just experimentations with different styles in photoshop, first one using a complementary colour scheme and using short, sharp lines in the composition. The other was purely black and white, while just adding a few minor coloured highlights over top.

T-shirt/illustration ideas

So I've had a couple commissions to do designs for t-shirts (I have a couple of my pokemon shirts for sale here http://www.printfection.com/circuitbreakmerch/Mens-wear/_s_514764 ;) ). That piqued my interest into doing designs for shirts, accessories and what not.  Keep in mind, these are purely conceptual at the moment and if anyone were to want a design like that, just message me.

(this is Hello Kitty's anatomy, I'll clean it up and post it soon)

Pen and paper

Here I will be posting straight up ink drawings, be it doodles, sketches, or full on works.

Meadow of Dreams
Here's a piece i worked on for quite a while, and used up quite a few pens. I love using the cross-hatching style, especially for particularly creepy drawings such as this (gives it a sort of demented, chaotic feel). and for the waves I used simple strokes of a brush in India ink. Overall I love how this piece turned out.

Random Giraffe
This was actually just a random doodle at work in my little notebook. Funtimes all around.

Meatballs
A couple of sphere-like monsters, getting used to giving my work actual dimensions, as shown by the different angles of the other creatures in the background

Heap
A piece based off of one of my favourite movies; Tetsuo the Iron Man.  I tried to put in a lot of detail here, as this is essentially a chaotic living pile of scrap metal and flesh.
